The X-Ray Application Malaysia Society (XApp) is a non-government organization aiming at promoting the development and dissemination of information on X-ray application techniques and related technology and promoting cooperation among members and other organizations of similar objectives. Most of the equipment used in these activities has contributed a lot to the advancement of materials science, solid state physics, chemistry, medical and other fields. In recent years, there have been a lot of improvements that includes the introduction of an array of software including instrument control, data interpretation and standard data that may provide quick results with enhanced efficiency.
X-ray Application Malaysia Society (XApp), a chapter of Malaysian Nuclear Society (MNS) continuously organized conferences, seminars as well as workshop and lecture to promote the latest development on X-ray and related techniques.
It was founded in 2000 by the committee member of 2nd Asian Conference on X-Rays and Related Techniques in Research And Industry (ACXRI 2000) that was jointly organised by Malaysian Institute for Nuclear Technology Research (MINT), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Universiti Malaya (UM), Standard Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) and Malaysian Nuclear Society (MNS).
Currently, XApp enjoys the support of over 200 members in the government, private, and corporate sectors.
